Frontier is a private company with headquarters in Luxembourg. Frontier has interests in a number of advanced energy transition mineral projects in Southern Africa, including the Zandkopsdrift rare earths and battery grade manganese sulphate project in South Africa and the Nipacue graphite project in Mozambique. 

In 2012 the South Korean Government acquired a 10% (currently 8.9%) direct interest in Zandkopsdrift through Korea Mine Rehabilitation and Mineral Resources Corp (KOMIR) (formerly Korea Resources Corporation (KORES)) for a cash consideration of $24million.

Frontier was listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange between 2010 and 2015 and is now controlled by management and related parties based in the EU.
